Contributors were asked to submit a short writing with a title that was a thing or name of something they considered a “gift of wild” from nature. The writings were engraved in metal plates in the “wing bench” portion of the project installed at Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park, Minnesota in 2008 and they were read aloud as part of the Nest Raising Event, August 23, 2008, and Dedication Ceremony September 23, 2008, both at Westwood Hills Nature Center.
